Cliches, trends and mushrooms?

Cliches
So you are struggling with the current brief and feeling a bit tired and ready for a holiday, then why don't you just buy a logo from this site, they are predesigned in a range of categories and only cost us$125.90, hey they will even make minor changes at no extra cost.

Spend sometime on this site to understand the full extent of the term design cliche

Trends
Logoorange explores a range of design trends in logo design, light but interesting worth a glance.

logooranges' take on organic 3-d trends.

Reflection: It is often interesting how a new filter in photoshop or illustrator, or an easy to use application will trigger a design trend that has almost no cultural significance or references beyond being a product of computer science. It is an accident of technology thought up in a lab somewhere that can affect the course of visual culture. This may be important when considering the driving force behind a trend can be as simple as some person writing a photoshop filter.

Mushrooms ?

Oh if we are going to think about trends (esp organic 3-d ones), lest we forget Li Edelkoort's
forecast of ... the mushroom as a visual trend marker. Browny beige anybody, rounded forms, trippy graphics, watch this space...

Oh as I was about to publish this post I found this contemporary mushroom

Our friends at Sony do have a sense of humour now don't they
