Have a look at these two interesting websites, the first one is a blog which contains a lots of examples of fresh illustration projects and links.

As did this physical illustration.

DEXIGNER. This is a design resource website which seems to be very in-depth and up to the minute - look at the newsletter section for a snap shot of what is going on design-wise around the world.
